This trail system winds through a wooded area of towering pines within the Superior National Forest adjacent to Bear Island Lake and it brings skiers to the secluded and unpopulated Perch Lake. There is also a section of trail that winds along the shore of Bear Island Lake. Enter the trail head at the intersection of Highway 21 and Escape Road. A peaceful and solitary ski setting with plenty of opportunity for sighting and tracking wildlife. |
