Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to insect pest control. The presentation will highlight the many ways our beneficial insects are vulnerable to current gardening practices, and how to you can easily create a landscape that is a safe, chemical-free, beacon for bees and pollinators, while protecting people, property, pets, pollinators, and the environment from exposure to chemical insecticides.
About the Instructor: Kathy Cyriacks owner and operator of Gracie’s Plant Works alongside Patty Richter they have provided organic vegetable plants and gardening for those concerned with preserving heritage varieties and reducing their impact on the world since 2003. In the last seven years they have incorporated flower annuals and perennials, trees and shrubs. The focus has remained on chemical free growing and controlling insect infestation through integrated pest management strategy.
