Do you admire the beautiful sweaters from Scandinavia? Now you can learn to make your own!
You’ll knit a doll size sweater to learn the techniques of two-color knitting using steeks, which allow you to knit continuously in the round. You cut the steeks to shape your sweater and finish the cut edges. Steeks can be used to create armholes, neck openings, pockets, or cardigan fronts as well as to knit blankets in the round.
About the instructor: Diane Thomson enjoys playing with fiber and has taught weaving, spinning, and knitting, in the Twin Cities, Sisu Designs in Ely and here at the folk school.
